New Consultants’ Club
Added 26/02/2019
This is a new initiative to create a network for newly appointed Consultant Paediatric Surgeons. We all remember our first few years as Consultants as being a steep learning curve. We are all prepared to tackle clinical problems but how many of us were aware of the leadership, managerial and logistic challenges that accompany the job? This is a group to designed to provide mutual support and safe place to ask questions and expect honest answers. We have all been there and it is a steep learning curve. We hope that we can provide some mentorship for new appointees as well as practical advice within a sociable setting.
We are planning to hold the inaugural meeting of the New Consultants’ Club on the evening of Tuesday 2nd July prior to the main Congress. The purpose of the meeting is to provide a meeting place and professional support to consultants within 8 years of their first appointment. Please contact [email protected] with any suggestions for topics for discussion or to join the group. If there is enough interest, we will arrange an evening meal following the meeting.
Please register through the main registration site or if you want to add this to an existing Congress registration, contact [email protected]. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
