Registration Congress 2024

70th Anniversary Congress, our 4-day Scientific Meeting

To attend congress you must be registered. Extra tickets can be purchased for the social events but these will not allow admission to the congress itself. All presenters must register as a delegate to attend Congress.

This year the congress runs over FOUR days so that registration covers all four days (Tuesday to Friday) but we have also included ONE day options.  One day registration does not include social events, but you are welcome to purchase tickets for our Dinner on Tuesday and Presidential reception on Wednesday.

We offer substantial registration discounts to our Members on Congress registration and we  would strongly encourage you to join our community of professionals. If you are registering as a Medical Student or Allied Health Professional and are NOT a current member of BAPS, you will be asked for proof of your status.

We will not charge you extra for using a credit card to pay your registration.

Full 4-day registrations will include all sessions starting with the Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, a Presidential Welcome Reception ticket, lunch and refreshments on all days.  This also includes access to the virtual platform (for chat and Q & A) and posters. All delegates registered in person will also receive a link to the MedAll platform.

 

Social Events

Presidential Reception

Admittance to this event is by ticket only. Please indicate on registration if you will be attending so that you receive your ticket (cost is included on all Wednesday registrations). Accompanying persons the age of 12 years and above will be required to hold their own ticket at an additional cost of £45 per person. If you are bringing a child below the age of 12 years, they will be admitted free of charge but you will need to notify us of their attendance so that a ticket can be issued for them.

Gala Dinner

Admittance to this event is by ticket only. Tickets can be purchased at registration. We will operate a waiting list if tickets sell out.

Cancellation and refund

We understand that circumstances can change, especially with Covid. Please submit written notification of cancellation to the BAPS office. Refunds will be processed minus an administrative fee according to the deadlines below. All refunds will be administered after Congress.

Written notification of cancellation must be received by the BAPS office. Cancellation will be accepted until 30th April 2024 with a refund of all registration fees less 10% deduction for administrative expenses. Thereafter until 30th May there will be a 50% refund. For cancellation after 30th May, the full registration fee is applicable and no refunds can be made for cancellations after this date or for non-attendance. All refunds will be handled after the Congress.

Liability

BAPS accepts no liability for personal injuries sustained, loss or damage of property belonging to Congress Participants, either during or as a result of the Congress. Personal travel and health insurance is recommended.

Photography

We will have an official photographer and our office staff and Executive members and faculty may also take photographs of delegates. By registering you are consenting to have your photograph and shared by BAPS.

 

 

COVID-19 mitigation

Due to the changing nature of the pandemic, there is a possibility that we may have to postpone or cancel the event. We will aim to give you as much notice as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot be liable for any costs incurred due to cancellation or postponement of the meeting.

To minimise potential disruption and costs to attendees we strongly recommend that you:

    1. Register using a credit card with payment protection
    2. For in-person attendees, insure yourself against travel disruption and cancellation
    3. The safety of all attendees is very important to us.  If you have symptoms that could be from Covid-19, we would be grateful if you could take a lateral flow test, if possible, prior to arriving at the venue and please do not attend if you test positive. Please contact the office if you are unable to attend.
