The British Association of Paediatric Surgeons (BAPS) has become more and more relevant in recent years as virtually the only provider of secondary and tertiary surgery to infants and children. In all there are 28 centres in the UK with facilities for both open and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
This year we will be having a joint conference in July (18th – 21st) with the leading international paediatric endoscopy group (IPEG) and the leading international group on paediatric wound care (IsPEW) together with UK-based specialty organisations on stoma care and incontinence. The format of the conference this year is aimed at integrating industry with the surgical care of children particularly with respect to the role and scope of minimally invasive surgery.
We will be working closely with our partners in industry to showcase instruments, equipment and products to delegates from around the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. We anticipate approximately 600 delegates from the UK and overseas to attend the conference.
