Paul Losty’s favourite Asian restaurants

Liverpool’s Chinatown is home to the oldest Chinese community in Europe. No trip to Chinatown is complete without a meal and Paul recommends:

  • North Garden is a small family restaurant in Nelson Street, Chinatown. It’s no frills and the decor is 1960’s but the Cantonese food is excellent.
  • Yuet Ben is possibly Liverpool’s oldest Chinese Restaurant and serves Cantonese/ Malaysian Chinese food.

Beyond Chinatown

  • Chung Ku is located on Liverpool’s Waterfront, just a 5 minute taxi ride from the Congress Venue and serves Cantonese food including Dim Sum.
  • Chaopyra – is a popular Thai and based at Liverpool One with the Palm Sugar Lounge adjacent.
